The Hotel Engimatt is situated in a beautiful garden with quiet surroundings, away from noise and traffic but still in the city centre.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk or a few minutes by taxi or tram from Zurich's famous business and shopping area.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Room information

All guest rooms have been completely renovated in 2006. Rich fabrics and precious woods will make you feel at home and the state of the art in-room technology makes your life easier. Non-smoking rooms on request. The deluxe rooms are more spacious than the standard rooms.

Area information

The hotel is set in a park, just a few minutes from the Bahnhofstrasse, the Old Town and the lake. - Very safe neighbourhood in a upscaled section of Zurich.

Important information

Our own tennis court (sand) and the new Asia Spa with treatments, sauna, massage and gym (2500 square metres) is located just around the corner. Tennis court and spa are chargeable.

The hotel is accessible for disabled people. The room doors are 75 cm wide.

well orgnaised, quiet, good bathroom and bed, good staff, decent breakfast, good location (15 minute walk to Bahnhofstrasse).

the single room is small. Price of room is high, but that is true for all hotels in the large Swiss cities.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I also liked the fact that there was a real coffee machine in the room, and not just a hot water pot with instant coffee.

The air conditioning wasn't quite what I had expected, and I could not get the room cool enough at night, so I didn't sleep well for a couple of days. But then the weather changed and was cooler, so it was bearable with the window open. But everything else about the hotel was incredibly wonderful!!!

Staff very friendly

Website of hotel says there is a gym.In reality you have to pay to gop to a gym 5 mins away. Not impressed - feel the site is misleading.

the hotel was so beautifully appointed. I appreciated having the option of A/C. The room was spotless, the service impeccable, the ameniteis ample, the breakfast delightful and more than enough. The location was fine - just close enough to "downtown" to allow a nice walk.

Staff was especially friendly and accomodating

I am not accustomed to such small rooms without any dresser to put my clothing into. I also wear skirts and there were no accomodations to hang up skirts, nor did the staff know how to resolve this so I had to hang my skirts over my suitcase. We had a shock when we saw there was no door on the bathroom but rather a sliding piece of glass. WE believe in privacy and the respect of privacy.

very quiet surroundings

The fact that there were no snacks or other food available and no room service availabe at 15:00 hrs when I arrived. However, they finally decided that there was only one kind of sandwich they could offer me, which was not bad after all!

room and small balcony excellent. Quietish area.

At the time of our stay there was building works which meant a temporary entrance and no public bar.
